Info >>

Leon grew up in the Diamond District portion of the Uptown, and he was born into a wealthy normie family.

He suffers from Schizophrenia, although he doesn't disclose it often. He's only comfortable talking about it with those who are close to him. If your character is a high rank within the Peacekeepers then they are more likely to know. If your character is one of his direct superiors, then they'd have been told to keep an eye on him, and to contact a specific person if they notice something off about Leon's behaviour.

Your character might also have stumbled upon Leon seemingly talking to himself during a late night shift (although that happens very rarely,) and perhaps even noticed that he's been absent from said shifts as of late. Your character might know that he fought and injured himself in the fight for the Wooded Oculus, which meant that he had been off duty for a while as he recovered from his injuries.

If your character is well versed in the politics of Thalos, they might have heard of the Santiago Mining Company before, which is owned by a normie called Artúr Santiago.

If your character had been enrolled at G.G.G. in 2012, then they might have heard about Leon's psychotic episode, and how he left the school and only returned after three weeks.

At some point in 2014, Leon was found seemingly lost on the streets of Thalos by a Peacekeeper officer. This person (or people, it could have been multiple officers) helped him get his bearings and got him admitted to an emergency psych hospital. Leon has no memory of who they are, but this incident was part of the reason why he decided to join the Peacekeepers.

He joined the Peacekeepers in 2014, and graduated to footman in 2017.

At some point in 2020, he got attacked during a patrol and ended up injuring his left eye. The assailant is unknown. If your character is a Peacekeeper, they might have noticed that his behaviour seemed stranger after he lost his eye, as he'd often appear to react to things that are not there, especially during the more stressful shift/training sessions.

Places to find him >>

Here is a list of places he likes to visit, and where people are more likely to find him at:

Public Libraries: He loves to read, and he is comfortable in quiet spaces like libraries. He doesn't go to libraries all that often anymore, because he can get quite busy with work, and when he does visit one it's usually late at night.

Uptown Central Gardens: This is his favorite public park to go to, since it's the one he would visit with his family as a child. He still likes to visit it on his free time to relax.

A gym in Uptown: This is the same gym he'd attend before he enrolled in the Peacekeepers. Nowadays, he gets most of his physical training at the Peacekeeper HQ, so he's not there as often.

Within the Peacekeeper HQ: As a Peacekeeper, he'll spend a lot of time around HQ. Sometimes he gets sent on patrols around Thalos or even in the outskirts too.

Rivera Centre: You can find him training there, or perhaps even sparring with a fellow Peacekeeper.

The Kowl Hall: Similarly to the Rivera Centre, this place is largely connected to his tasks so he'll be in there quite frequently.

The Barracks: That's where he lives.

The Dining Hall: He'll show up there for his daily meals, as most Peacekeepers do.

Relationships >>

Leon is usually an introspective person, and that combined with his mental disorder makes it difficult for him to trust people.

He tries to keep a positive relationship with his coworkers, and he always acts very polite towards them. Even if you're a dick to him or if he hates your guts, he'll always be polite.

He is not the type of person to let his anger get the best of him, although if someone's wronged him in the past he might hold a silent grudge against them. That could be interesting to explore!

I think the "Enemies/rivals to friends" scenario fits him pretty well, but I'd love to hear what other people think as well. I think it would also be interesting having him lose his trust on someone he's close with, during a bout of paranoia.... who knows....

Shipping >>

Leon is straight, and he hasn't given much thought to relationships since he knew he'd have to marry whomever his parents chose for him, to keep their normie bloodline "clean." He was raised in a very strict and conservative environment, and that upbringing ends up affecting his relationships with people, especially those who are heavily mutated.

However, this was all before he made the decision to join the Peacekeepers and officially live on his own. Although he doesn't keep in touch with his family as much as before, he believes that his parents might still try to set him up with someone.

As for himself, he can be quite intimidated by relationships, and he is the type to isolate himself. He can be quite self deprecating in that aspect.

I like shipping, but I also don't like to rush into it if I don't feel a strong connection between the characters. I guess I can be quite picky with this kind of stuff. I would also be totally open to things like one sided crushes, or even bitter exes. It's fine if your character has a crush on him too. I am okay with flirting, but just know that Leon won't respond to it very well lol.
