Humans are one of the most widespread races in Odiem. They descend from the arimpheans who followed the god Oekhan to Gallea, and thus are the Sun counterpart to elves.
Despite having originated in Gallea, with time humans have travelled all across Odiem, and now can be found in both continents. The first human group to have arrived in Arofea were the Irias people, but since then there have been many more.
Humans are medium sized, some populations reaching over 2 meters in average height. They have rounded ears, unlike elves, and they cannot see very well in the dark. Their skin and hair colors can vary, although humans do not normally have white hair unless in old age. Instead, human hair color ranges from light blond to dark brown, as well as reddish and orange tones. Some believe that they inherited these traits from Oekhan, whose golden locks are as warm as sunlight.
Human skin color also ranges from pale to dark brown. They cannot spot natural markings, although many adorn their bodies with tattoos and body paint.
Humans are very warm individuals in general, and their ability to produce body heat makes them suitable to live in colder climates.
Like the other humanoid races in Odiem, their lifespan is around a century, although they rarely pass the 90 year mark.
